Water is one of the most important things in life. Unfortunately, there are underprivileged communities which still do not have access to clean water. The water inequity oftenly causes various problems in their communities such as health problems, furthermore impacting food security. Their livelihood does not have water connection and safely managed sanitation which forces them to consume unhealthy water, while they do not have enough water to clean and keep a healthy life.
ACT has been working to provide people with the fundamental need. Access to clean water can turn problems into livelihood improvement. We ensure to provide water to consume and also the source of water for the underprivileged communities. The clean water programs consist of:
Free Drinking Water
ACT has been launching Lumbung Air Waqf (Waqf water barn) that is a waqf-based water desalination tower to produce free drinking water. The free drinking water will be distributed for people in need such as poor families, disaster affected people, also to be put in communities .
Water Well Programs
To ensure the underprivileged people have access to clean water, ACT initiates a water well program to build a source of water, sanitation and hygiene areas. This program is expected to provide water needs for the communities.
Humanity Water Truck
36% of Indonesians reside far away from the source of clean water and sanitation. With a humanitarian fleet namely Humanity Water Truck, ACT reaches out to the remote area in Indonesia. The Water Truck also dispatches to the disaster affected areas, distributing consumable water and to perform cleaning action.
Let’s provide access to clean water and decent sanitation for underprivileged communities.
